Aurvant was an Elezen born in Ishgard, raised to be a very polite man that was fond of religious teachings. Even from a young age, he had always inspired to be a priest for the Fury. He became a member of the clergy right at the coming of age, and then a priest by the age of 18. He had spent several years living out his life in such a way...but as the sins of the church came to light, Aurvant no longer felt it right to continue and try to act unaware of the grave situation. He was a man of the people first before being a man of the traditions.He left the clergy behind, only to then suffer persecution from the Church for his actions. He lost everything, down to his last set of clothes on his back and a sewing wheel to keep it repaired. In that very time, outsiders were allowed to visit Ishgard, and with that brought along a Miqo'te who swept Aurvant up into his arms. The man convinced Aurvant to go with him to Grindania, where they have been living their lives ever since within the Shroud.
