Aurvant was an Elezen born in Ishgard, raised to be a very polite man that was fond of religious teachings. Even from a young age, he had always inspired to be a priest for the Fury. He became a member of the clergy right at the coming of age, and then a priest by the age of 18. He had spent several years living out his life in such a way, becoming an Inquisitor so young...but as the sins of the church came to light, Aurvant no longer felt it right to continue and try to act unaware of the grave situation. He was a man of the people first before being a man of the traditions.He questioned the clergy for keeping truth from the people, only to then suffer persecution from the Church for his actions. He lost everything, down to even his own memories of his past. However, once outsiders were allowed to visit Ishgard, a Miqo'te came along who swept Aurvant up into his arms. The man convinced Aurvant to go with him to Gridania, where they have been living their lives happily for so many years...until it once again came crashing down around the Elezen. He stays optimistic on the outside present day, but feels as though the chance for someone to love him again, even in a polyamorous relationship, feels like something he'd only experience in his sleep.
